mpg does not =performance

Have you calculated it, or just read from the computer?

calculated as close as poss, the trip is pretty close.

Mines now down to 20mpg av. But it goes like sh#t off a shovel !

Mine is a pretty quick 200 with what i've had done and been averaging 30.3mpg and i don't exactly drive slow.

Maybe it's the way I drive, my front Nankangs NS2R's (medium compound) have only lasted 4500 miles !

I got 34+ mpg with a full load of camping gear on the way to Silverstone MotoGp a couple of weeks ago (based on the computer). Best consumption seems to be at 62 mph (funny that isn't it as it is 100 kph).
Driving gently on short trips and using 6th (early 197 with low gearing), I am showing 31.
I used to do better with my BMW130i which had 265bhp but hey ho!

So i get 24-30mpg avg but in higj way with calm driving i can get even 33

I'm at Porsche Silverstone at the weekend for a driver training session in the Clio, so will be interesting to see what it does on their little tracks.

13 :biggrin: It somehow felt impolite passing 911s on Porsches own test track, but what else can you do when they're getting in the way :lol:. Really impressed with the car - chassis is just sublime, and electronics not too interfering. I can see why people like them for track work.
