MOT Due

Right my car is due to go in for an MOT this month at Evans Halshaw. I am in no way technically/mechanically minded when it comes to motors etc., apart from knowing when I see a nice one lol. I was speaking to some1 the other day who mentioned about oils etc maybe different (higher spec or what ever with it being an RS) than what they would use in other cars. Were they right and if so is there anything else that may be put in that isnt quite up to scratch. I would like to keep the car running at its best

I'm pretty sure it's both MOT and Service. What do they change, is there anything I could potentially buy and give them to use that will b better than they would use ??
