MOT and catylitic converter Qs

hi

how many catylitic converters do the 197s have?

i have read some where that there are 2? is this correct?

if so, will the 197 pass an MOT with one cat or will you need both?

Yes they have 2.
I had 1 of them replaced with a decat and it wnt through 2 mot's at different place with no trouble at all.

yeah its pre cat and cat. creates more back pressure this way. oh and ^^^^^ just scrapes through emissions test
