Monaro Detail

A friend recently bought a Vauxhall Monaro, and asked us if we could give it a spruce up for him. Was VERY swirly and the paintwork was quite dull. Forgot to take any before pics though :worried:

Very nice motor, with a 6.0 litre V8 under the bonnet - 400bhp and 390 lbft torque

Anyway, some pics of the results from:

Washed
Clayed
Machine polished
Hand polished with none cut and sealant
Glazed
Waxed
Treated black plastics
Alloys polished and sealed
Tyres blacked
Rust around brakes removed and painted

didn't achieve 100% correction due to time limits and the size of the car (it's huge!) but he was over the moon with the outcome:

Rear brake hubs were looking a little worse for wear:

Couple coats of hammerite:

Good as new!

After polish on the left, untouched on the right!

i love it. what sealant did you use im always trying new stuff. they are KF green caps nitrogen filled tyres by any chance?

ahhhhhh poorboys how u find that stuff? u a DA or rotary man? pads u use? sorry for all questions lol interested in detailing.

It's brilliant stuff mate, most of our cleaning stuff is poorboys can't fault it. I have a DA, never tried a rotary, and thought it was safer to start with a DA - have been using it for over a year and still learning!

I think the polishing pad we used is a lake country light cutting one. Also have a softer finishing pad which came with the Kestrel DA.

Hope that helps!

...those discs look quite small...they must be the rears? Look like they need a change to me?! Car looks great....black is a sod to keep clean and swirl free....

yeah thanks mate, been using a rotary for around 4 years, got the hang of it now, it polishes and compounds alot faster great for the paint correction i do for my family n friends. I use alot of chemical guys stuff but paint correction im into proffesional gear like ferecla and 3M and like i said try new products all the time most of them free as I feedback to suppliers but thanks for the tip off ill try some poorboys.

try a rotary some time i recommend it.
