200: Modified Clio insurance

Hi all, almost time for my car insurance renewal - wanted to see who you guys are insured with especially those with modified cars, currently with Aviva and they are not bad, Dan at Adrian Flux quoted me £247.50 today which is good and all mods declared, similar price to my Aviva policy I have currently - anyone who mentions Greenlight will be offered outside after my call with them this morning...amazed they actually have any business...

Yeh AF was good, im interested to see what Aviva quote me this year though.

Sorry, Kev, but I have good things to say about Greenlight too I've been with them for the last two years and been happy with them. Thankfully (touch wood), I've not had cause to contact them for anything other than a renewal or to add a driver, but they've always been very competent and helpful....

Now, Kev....no need to get angry!

I've just taken out a policy with Keith Micheals.
All mods declared, and there were lots, all covered like for like replacement, underwriter is with LV Highway, who are decent. Brentacre and Greenlight were the same price as K.M bar a few pounds. I don't like who Brentacre and G'light were using for the insurance cover, couple of other reasons I went with K.M but they're irrelevant. They'll give discount for being a forum member too. Speak to Matt Moody or Jeremy Pocock

I'm currently with Sky insurance on a modified policy. Most of the other "specialists" couldn't even give me a quote, and two of them gave me a £10,000 quote. Excellent customer service from Sky insurance too!

I had some absolute joke quotes when I was shopping around in November. With one mod declared look at this 'fantastic deal', a mere £1400 more than Elephant haha

That was pretty much my renewal quote with Diamond but without any mods! I have to say though the Admiral group are great at insuring high risk drivers at a decent price where other companies want nothing to do with you.

Yeh tbf props to them for doing the cheapest quote even with a non standard exhaust. Hoping with 1yr experience with a faster car it starts going down

Have you tried Need to Insure or Pace Ward

For the last few years we've been with N2I on a modified car policy that includes 5 or 6 trackdays
