Miltek decat

Do you need to cut the standard exhaust fit a miltek decat? My mate who's a mechanic recons you shouldn't have to but I'm sure a few people on here have? He's going to attempt to put it on tonight, so any advice would be greatly appreciated

if your fitting a cat back than yes, you have to cut the exhaust as the second cat is built into the mid section, you should have som bracket with the exhaust the connect your standard cat to the new system, if your decating then obviously the decat pipe will replace the your standard cat, either way you have to cut the exhaust to get it out. hopes this helps

Yeah like Ryan said you need to cut it.

The 197/200 system is a complete system with no joins.

Doesn't make it a hassle to fit the de-cat though

Does de-cat give any error codes or warnings on the dash?also does it effect the running of the car I.e causing it to run rich, bad throttle response etc has anyone fitted one to stock exhaust and found any significant improvement in performance
