Talk to me guys. Midland Renault Specialists at Creswell near Worksop.
Mark's not too far away from me. I've read a few people mention him.
My LY200 has a full Renault Service history and had a major service with all the fluids, belts, water pump etc done last year.
Only grumble I have with the car (as quite a few do) is the stiff 1st gear when the car is cold. After 10 mins or so the box is as slick as you like.
Wonder if he is the man to go to, to try and solve this?
I hear a lot of people saying to bleed the clutch slave cylinder - and I mentioned this at Renault last year and the technician working on my car said stiff gearbox when cold is normal, and lots of people mention it. He shied away from bleeding the clutch slave cylinder, so it just got left.
I've lubed the ends of the linkage cables (going in to the gearbox) and changed the box oil to the better, newer ELF oil.
Not lubed anything under the gear stick though.
Thoughts from people please ?
Thanks in advance, James
