Menzerna Powerlock'd Jag S-Type

You'll recognise my mates driveway from a couple of previous details on his R26.R and Pearl White Evo X. Today we gave his Dad's Jas S-Type a bit of loving, primarily to sort the 4 years worth of £3 car washes.

The day itself started off nice and bright, but we had to contend with showers throughout the day, which were an absolute nightmare!

I was keen to test Powerlock on a lighter coloured car too to see how it looked...

So, some befores, relatively clean, just general road grime:

As ever, I started with the wheels, tyres and arches with G101 (4:1) and various brushes (Envy and Wheel Woolies). I did note last time I was over helping with this EvoX that the Jag's wheels had quite severe brake dust pitting, so I made sure I had some Wolf Decon Gel with me for it:

No after I'm afraid, it turned out blurry, but as ever, it worked its magic and removed 95%+ of the pitting on the wheels - great product!

Next up, the car was rinsed, then washed with Optimum Car Shampoo. The car was the decontaminated with Tardis and Decon Gel:

It was then clayed with Elite Polyclay with Citrus Bling as lube (which I'm ditching after this detail, not happy with it compared to AS Reglaze!)

Next up, the car was re-rinsed then dried with Elite Uber Drying Towels.

The paintwork was the assessed under a DIY Sun Gun, to reveal:

The entire car was like this, literally one big swirl!!! :doublesho

After trying a few combinations, I settled on Menzerna 203S via Orange Chemical Guys Hex Logic Pad, giving us:

Some afters (no LSP at this stage):

I decided to finish up with Menzerna Powerlock on the paintwork, Opti Seal on the alloys and CG New Look Trim Gel on the tyres. Chris went round and did the glass with AS 20/20 with Dodo Mint Merkins. The exhausts were done with Optimum Metal Polish.

Some finished shots:

It's a shame it was so overcast when we were finished as the shots don't reflect how well the car loved after some loving!

Total time - 10 hours with a few rain breaks!!

The Powerlock was faultless again and adds a lovely glow to light metallics!
