i try to keep track of bovingdon, meaden, metcalfe and catchpole. not easy since they change jobs every five seconds. lost track of john barker. always liked his writing style.

ecoty was always something to look forward to. i think they have a couple of nice ecoty videos on youtube.

There are some fantastic ECOTY vids on youtube I agree.

Journalism standards in EVO has slipped badly recently. I tried to do the same and keep track of what the best guys were up to but it's all so fragmented now I've lost the will to keep on top of it sadly.

yeah, i know. bovingdon is still on 'drivetribe' (you tube). catchpole was on 'drivetribe', now on 'carfection' (also yt). don't know if meadon is on any of those yt channels, but i know he writes for 'motorsport magazine' now. which i find a brilliant mag, btw. and harry's got his 'harry's garage' yt channel, like you mentioned.

Didn't know Meaden was writing for Motorsport. That's cool. I'll have a nosy :thumb:

I'm the same in that I've recently cancelled my sub to Evo mag, after quite a lot of years. It's a shame, they had some really good writers and it was enjoyable to read each month, I just got bored lately and wasn't too keen on the new blood. Can't think of his name, but one of them had a really poor writing style, it was a chore to read his articles. He seemed to use about 10 more words each sentence than he really needed to.... Loquacious prick :smile:

And yep, sadly it's quite obviously gone downhill. However, they gave a GLOWING review of the Exige Cup 380 in the latest one and the article on the Maserati MC12 is one of the best in there in years. Ridiculous porn car.

There's no doubting they came up with the odd gem, however it's not enough for me personally to justify spending the money on a subscription for.

Anyway, enough of Evo mag, we need more photos of your Exige and the words to go with it :wink:

I get a free subscription, not even totally sure how to be honest, so I've kept up with it. Otherwise I'd have gone a long time ago.

As for the Exige, I'll post more when I have them :wink:

@peter Harris loved it with good reason mate! His first test video was one of the things that really made me start considering one. I like engines so the previous 1.8 iterations never did it for me. Spa, it's DEFINITELY going to happen mate. Maybe next year, but most likely in 2019. Promise I'll give you a shout. And a run in the passenger seat too. No problem.

@Jimmy LOVE driving in the wet mate. Sure you can't go as quick but it's a lot of fun. Incredible grip in these cars too. I shouldn't really be testing Race Mode on the road but... you know...
