Limiting Early...

The car was behaving weird this morning... even though i'd be driving some distance and the car was fully up to temp with the dial showing it was at the right temp, it was limiting early at just under 7K in all the gears. Almost like it was on the cold map? Any why this would happen? Cheers.

It'll limit early if the oil isn't up to temp. Which can take like 15-20 mins of driving.

nope no map.

I'd been driving for about 15mins and gunning it. Is there an oil gauge hidden anywhere or on the computer?

Nope.

Does it still happen after about half hours driving?

If not, would just assume the engine was too cold.

But if you've had a map, they normally extend your rev limiter by about 500.
