Lightweight flywheel for 197

Hi, im new sorry to butt in quickly :thumbup:

Im after a lightweight flywheel for a 197 and wondered where i could get one or if a 182 one is ok? Or does the megane use the same flywheel?

They are different.
I should have a batch in tomorrow if not next week. They are billet CNC steel. I'm out of the office now, but will post prices and pics tomorrow.
We can also supply multiplay race clutches for specific race series super-light fly.

APD is a dealer for catcams, wossner, DTA ecu, jenvey induction. We also have our own valves, rods and cranshafts made. I personally specialise in head flow optimisation and engine building....so I/we can cater for ALL performance tuning needs.

He only mentioned he was after a flywheel, so that's all I mentioned

I agree with Woody.

I'm always dubious about this mod. Why would you want to reduce your torque figure and chase BHP, without changing cams etc?

Yes the engine will rev quicker, but will just thin the power band surely?

from my point of veiw I had my fly lightened wich was the cheaper option. but it doesnt really compliment the cams as it increases the idle. which didnt do my pocket any favours lol.

It doesn't reduce specific crankshaft torque or bhp figure. Nor do they affect power curve of the engine.

It is by no means a mod that should be fitted solely, eg there is little point in ripping the box out JUST to fit one, but on a full build etc, they are common place.

This is the race series, same but ultra lightwieght and only usable with 5.5" race clutch pack, 2.5kg price TBC

Does anybody know the weight of the standard flywheel?

The 300 one should fit without anything I would have thought. Not sure how well a
Standard ecu and dbw would cope? I thought standard was over 5kg?
