Hi all, as if I didn't have enough knocks/bangs my car has recently developed a new one.

Everytime I drive over potholes, bumps and generally non smooth tarmac I feel a knocking on the pedals. Any ideas?

Some info. I have very recently had the car checked for a play/knock in the steering. Everything according to the mechanic seems ok, ball joints, track rod ends etc, but there is a slight play on the right track rod which I'm going to have it replaced (warranty job). Now the question is, can a worn rack rod cause the pedals to knock? And if so, how come I didn't have it earlier and it has just appeared? It's driving me mad...

No mate they don't.

cheers fano45 I'll have it checked. I changed the track rod but it didn't cure it. (I wasn't expecting to though)

Mine always did a similar thing, changed the track control arm - made no difference, never did cure it.
