ITG Maxogen or KTR Clio 3 RS induction kit

As you know it's forced in from the front and then obviously your induction sucks the cold air in oem will work better but ktec have proven gains so each to there own.
 
i just can't see how that is any good stuck behind the battery with no air feed, as the oem feed works on suction/draw but that is just there hoping air gets there lol. Itg all day long. Heat soak from this will be horrendous I imagine.

But what would be the difference to the air being sucked in from the open cone to the hot air being sucked in from the closed. Temps arnt going to change drastically. I doubt there is much in it between the two. Would be interesting to see a side by side using the same car and dyno.
 
Best option I can see is the RS3 type airbox using a good panel filter, enclosed system with a proper cold air ram air feed.
