Interior door release not working - any suggestions please?

I was doing some work in the Drivers door and everything worked fine after I put it back together & for another week or so.

Now, I can't open the drivers door from the inside. I've taken the door card off again, but there's nothing obviously amiss.
The cable seems OK, you can see the end of a pivot within the door lock moving when the cable is pulled, but it doesn't open the catch.

Any suggestions please?

Seems it might an electrickery issue. I suspect that the lock mechanism wasn't "undeadlocking". Cleaned, electrolubed & refitted the plug & seems ok atm.
- Time will tell.

The lock assy isn't the most reliable.
If you do order one, make sure it's for a 3 door not a 5 door
