immobiliser problem?

Does anyone know if there is a reset or something that can be done myself? My car is stuck on a mates drive as it wont start! Im pretty sure the immobiliser is the problem as there are no warning lights or anything on coming on. It just says ''wheel lock not on'' or something similar so I was thinking might there be a way to reset it of sorts? I've tried using the other key and inserting the card into the slot like it says in the manual, but none of it works.

I had that with an old clio had to go in for a new ECU under warranty thank god.

Mine came up with this once and i just wiggled the steering wheel whilst pressing start and it started...
i think that's what it said anyway... awaits being corrected...

Yea I think I had this once too and I just wiggled the steering wheel and then it started fine
