For example, a special edition Peugeot 205 Gentry might only have Peugeot 205 recorded on its V5. This can lead to some model variants appearing to be rarer than they actually are.

Yeah its down to the selling dealer to register it as the right car and I suspect that some R27 just got registered as normal 197s.

I know for sure that the 205 1FM were register as normal GTis.

Either that or some have never been register and maybe used on track or stuck in a barn somewhere. some could have been exported or bought by armed forces people that are based abored?

dont know but think the website must have done so well after being mention on Topgear, it being talked about on many forums. I know I checked it out shortly after the show ended.
