I had asked for any software updates to be applied when they were doing the recall - upon collection I had to ask about any updates and I was told that any available are not to be applied unless there's been a severe fault. I had pointed out I had seen the injection fault and the box had caught me out on a roundabout once before but that doesn't cut it.
So apparently I'll never see the updates from Watford.
That and they made me walk in the rain down the road to Enterprise to collect the courtesy car. I guess you could say I'm pretty peeved off with them now!

I have had my new 2015 LY cup edc for 2 week now and it drive nicer than my old 2014 200 cup edc ( I work for renault btw). It rides smoother, the gearbox reacts quicker and when left in auto it cruises in 5th as soon as you hit 34mph, it also seems to have more low down pull! I do know the 2015 has minor interior changes over the older models but there seems to be no information released regarding software updates which is interesting! I've driven a handful of edc's and this one is the best one yet!
The new 200's might share the new espace 1.6T engine mapping which produces 20nm more torque but still has 200 hp, just a thought!

My my old one kept dropping into neutral every now and again, so before it was sold they took it into the workshop and said they "remapped" the gearbox software! I didn drive it afterwards so can't comment on how it drove with the "remap"

If I had to guess. I'd almost believe (depending on what the build date for your 2014 EDC was) that it maybe did not have the latest EDC map that was released at the end of 2013. As to your old car, they maybe just re-flashed the current map over top of your existing one. There might have been some sort of corruption in the map in your previous car.
I'd like to think that Renault have done some re-work of the map for the EDC of current cars (no reason why they couldn't... as they've on their own admission been "very conservative"). But spoken to two different dealers now (AC Dumfries and Park's in Ayr) and also got Renault CS to check for me and they all say "late 2013 map is the latest". Quite happy to be proved wrong, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd be first in the queue for any upgrade

A guy who works for Renault, sorry but what do you make of this? A Renault specialist breakers did the work. Already spoke to some helpful lads on here, the oddly placed flexi, any thoughts?

Polished chrome instead of the shiny chrome aroound the cabin. Nothing to get excited about haha! Suppose it does lessen the amount of visible fingerprints
Has anyone had anything done on this recall or are the dealers just using it as a way to stripe renault up for charges etc, went to lookers at colchester nearly 3 weeks ago and they are still waiting for parts. Why get people in for a recall without having the parts if it needs them, crap customer service as usual.

The recall is not to replace them, but simply to check that the sensor has been torqued correctly. If they come in from the top of the engine bay, then they need to remove the manifold (the part they require I suspect, is a new manifold gasket) to access the sensor. And Renault quotes a rather optimistic 1.9 hours for the job. Most seem to have been taking 3+ hours to do. So yes, most folks opt to leave the car, rather than wait. SO not bull really
Nissan do have a tool to allow the sensor to be re-torqued by removing the under-tray and coming in from under the engine (much faster this way). And by all account, this tool (for the Juke) also fits the Clio. I know this for a fact, as Ian Suds got his done like this up at Park's (Irvine I think).
Well my fellow 200T owners gave my Edith Rose a good spanking on the Welsh trip and in race mod just outstanding to drive just over the moon roll on Spa and The Ring
