How hard do you use your Clio?

Back OT. Mine doesn't get used too hard, its done a couple of track days and 24k sinc eI picked it up. I don't really get time to use it as much as I'd like or the conditions to drive it like that. Since I've owned it, its been serviced each 6k miles alternating between me and a Renault dealership/specialist.

TBH it still plays up and is pissing me off a little but I just can't seem to properly fall out with it, everytime I drive it how I should all is forgiven

Come on fernandez, tell em

Don't know what you're on about Wayne..

I drive it hard everytime I get in it. Current mileage tally is 59K which ain't bad considering she's only 27 months old so still a toddler..

I've done a few trackdays and only ever had one problem which was the leaky gasket that's quite common and fixed under warranty.

The designers and engineers at Renaultsport spent many years at university and in work learning the skills and giving them the knowledge to create this car to rev to the redline beep, brake hard and go round corners like some cars much more expensive could only dream about.

If they wanted me to keep it in a garage, look at it and spend months of my time removing every spot of dirt they would have sold me the car with a cover, a sofa and a toothbrush... They didn't, instead they designed a pedal that goes flat to the floor...

So out of respect to those designers and engineers I faultlessly maintain her mechanicalness and wring her bloody neck.. She always gags for more..

Admittedly quite hard so much so that my discs at the front were blue after oulton, but it's had more oil/filter changes than a car with 6-7 times its mileage and I just spent two days cleaning and waxing it too so it gets some love too. I check it over regularly, strip the brakes and check for any breakage of which there hasn't been a thing so far (unless you count the gearbox >:worried: ).

I think you own one of these cars and don't track it you're nuts, that's where they're most fun!

I've owned mine since November last year and I've only run up 3.5k but I only use
Mine at weekends as I work close to where I live so I walk to work. I still ring her neck an now I feel she's bedding in well so into the new year Defo want to she what she's capable of on track.

All in all though I have to admit I'm a clean freak so I do like to keep her immaculate

Mine gets driven pretty tamely to be fair, and with the arrival of a new VW up in the new year i don`t think it will be leaving the garage very much until next summer.

Its booked in to Renault on the 10th to get all the wings painted and then i`m of to Afghan a week later so wont see the roads till November for it trip down to Ktec for springs and a service.

Almost seems a little bit of a waste having the car but it will be become a weekend thing.

Owned since new in 2008, covered 13,000 miles but engine rebuilt at 12,500 miles.

3 trackdays and a few dragstrip weekends. Driven slowly and calmly on the road between heavy detail sessions but given pure hell on track.

Buckled wheel, clutch, abs computer failed, side skirt fell off, head gasket failure, burst petrol tank and blew a piston ring in half. Apart from that plain sailing.

Gearbox still feels healthy but started notching in stationary to 1st.

I'm pretty gentle on mine to be fair, 8k miles a year of mostly commuting and the odd country lane blast. Never been on a track day but have my first one this friday! Can't wait!
