How far can you get without the key?

A fried asked if they could drive the Clio in tescos the other day, and for a laugh and got out with the key in my pocket expecting him to pull away and the whine cut out. He did a lap of the car park with no problems.

Just curious how far you Would get without the key, or is it a case they can go as far a they like as long as they dint stop it.

Yeah it'll keep going untill switched off, it will just display the error on the dash.

it is mad but i think its like that for safety reasons, ie if the senser lost contact with the key while you were doing 60 down a lane.

I too thought it would switch off if i walked away with the key, but it didn't.

yes it does bleep if its running and you walk away,

still wont cut out or switch off tho. :huh:

ye ive noticed this too. i often put the key card an iphone on the passenger seat or in the lil dash tray itll display card not detected til i seperate them.

My boss left the key to his scenic at home drove into town and then turn the car off took him 2 buses and a bit of cash to get the car back home lol
