Got to agree, Bose are total pish, some good and superior products metioned here though, perosnally i agree with BenW and would look at a pair of Sennys for that budget

I have a pair of Sennheiser and they are brilliant, half the price of the bose quiet comfort as well! Brilliant on the plane and in the car! :thumbup1:

Another +1 for bose hatred. Overpriced and over hyped.

I'll also put a +1 for sennheiser hd595's, sadly they aren't closed, but sound brilliant when used in combination with a decent source (i.e not an ipod).

iv got the dre beat things and think there pretty good.

I tend to disagree with this, i find they are very bass heavy which means that the hi's and mid's are not exactly as clear as they could be, also don't like the design of the cup. IMO there are MUCH better headphones out there.

This is just an idea under the budget that are quite good..
