hazard lights when braking ??

Hi, was watching a video on youtube of a megane 250 chasing a clio 200 round the ring earlier and noticed everytime it braked at corners the hazard lights flashed, does anyone know if the 197 has this function and and if it only works with esp on ?? I know fords have this warning system when you hit the brake suddenly to warn drivers behind but was not aware the clio had it ?

I had this happening to me on the track which was really annoying, don't remember if the esp was on at the time but I took it to Renault to switch off the brake-hazard light feature.

Was curious about this and just done some reading and yes they do have this feature.
