has any 1 cleaned there TB ?

Took the 182s off to do the step removal modification ( identical to the 197s btw ) and that had done 40,000 miles and never been touched.

Wasnt particulary dirty, a small degree of oil but apart from that spotless. I wouldnt bother.

If you do though theres no realigning, just bolt it back up.

Unlikely to be the tb causing the sluggishness.
More likely to be the fat heavy lump of the metal the engine has to haul around.

you usually find a "dirty" tb causes poor idling more than sluggish performance - but for how long it takes is worth doing i suppose - i have just taken the inlet pipe off and wiped inside with a cloth with a bit of wd40 on - to clean off any oil mist/carbon from the crank breather - the flap can be moved by hand :thumbup1:
