Getting xenon bulbs out

So I ordered some 6000k xenon bulbs to replace my factory ones to give me a bit of nicer look but how the hell do you get the old ones out?!

I have enough room to get in and according to the workshop manual twist the old bulb but I can't pull it out unless just being a wimp about it or is there some sort of trick to it?!

Should be held in by a metal clip mate. Changing bulbs is a pain, ive done it with bumper on with normal lights, and bumper off with 6k hids.
