Front offside light rubber cover

Hey guys,

So had a day on the 197 today, painted some bits etc, day was drawing to a close and decided to change the bulbs as they were all yellow and horrible.


I get to the drivers side bulb, takes ages but finally manage to get it fitted, until I tried putting the rubber cover over the hole. The rubber is about 1cm thick, maybe a little more, and the gap your supposed to fit it through to get it onto the hole is about 3mm thick. I have no idea how to get it on without removing the front bumper, unless I just get it on a little bit and leave a gap, but its sealed so condensation doesn't get it.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

Try leaving it in some boiling water to make it more maluble.
