Flames

Having seen the flames on the clio cup coming out the exhaust, i was wondering what is it that causes it, does anybody know?
Is it the exhaust? the map? engine tuning? all?

Overfuelling, largely due to the map. Won't happen on a standard car partly due to the two cats. I suspect the two silencers probably limit this too.

Unfortunately I have both cats removed and only the rear box remaining in my system yet it fails to flame at any point lol.

Spark plug in the exhaust tips anyone?

And oh yes! best mod = spark plugs in exhaust

The you need a revised map.

With the Puma with a standard map there was no popping and banging with a 4-2-1 mani, but add the Racing Puma map and it did it loads, a similarly modified map for the 197 would probably achieve similar results.

cars dont normally fuel on the overrun...its switched off to save fuel and emissions...unlike "racing" cars

In other words a similar thing to the JMS 'pops & bangs' remap, which sounds rubbish!
