fitting standard airbox

trying to re fit standard air box, car came with a K and N appollo when bought it

do you have to take the full battery and its plastic box completely out to get the standard air box back in

Im in harlow in essex. I dont really know what theyre worth used tbh, ive got an open cone and like the noise, so hopefully itd be a little less restrictive than that.
