First Pics of my 200

Finally got an opportunity to take some pics of the 200 this weekend after a quick wash.

Most of these were shot @ 50mm f/1.4 because I love my bokeh and hipster lense flares!!

Hope you like

I'm still so in love with this car in unbelievable :cloud9:

Cheers

Ben

Love it mate, great photos and lovely location: where you from?

I took some of mine recently with a 50mm price at f1.4 too!
See here http://clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16617

Those pictures are stunning, some really gorgeous pics there! I love my prime lens, magic hour pics with serious flare and haze just do it for me

I live in Sandbanks, Dorset (not on the peninsula but close enough) I am pretty lucky with my location

Have you got a portfolio anywhere?

----

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I love specialist car forums because essentially we all have the same car (pretty much) and no matter how many people upload pictures of standard cars we all sit there and say ooh that's a lovely one etc etc....it's great.

Thanks for your nice comment, i do have a portfolio but not online yet.
I have a very poor holding page that i really should get sorted out!! www.tomcrookes.com

You are obviously very handy with a camera, do you have a portfolio?

I love the prime lens, what set up have you got?
I'm using an EOS 40D with Sigma EX 50mm at F1.4 and its the best lens i ever used!

I love Dorset, i'm jealous but make sure you keep that salt water away. :jumpon:
Look forward to seeing more of your photos Clio related and any other too.

Love the splash image there Tom, you should get your portfolio sorted, I've got nothing much online myself either, I do have a bloggy type portfolio @ www.chromaticadmiration.co.uk but I lost my patience with it and havent updated for over a year!

I don't do much toggin as my passion is CGI, I mostly do 3d modelling in my spare time, there is some on my blog but again, alot of that is older work.

My Camera ;/ well.....at the moment I've got a 6MP Nikon D40 that is about 6 years old and has had 100,000 shutter actuations. It's bascially fooked! I still won my work (A large international corporate) monthly photo competition with it three months in a row, beating people with full frame hasslelbads, rich people with expensive equipment and no idea lol...eventually I got flamed out of the photography club...corporate politics!

I want a new body but I am waiting for the 6400 ISO sensors to come down in price before I shell out....But i do have a rather large collection of glass including f/2.8 25mm and lovely Sigma 10mm F/4.6. My 50mm f/1.4 is a Nikon lens, it's a pancake and motorless so manual focus at f/1.4 is nightmare!!

Cheers pal

I couldn't resist, here's a couple of more recent images some of you petrol heads might appreciate.

klostertal___nordeschliefe_by_theederv-d463iaj.jpg

adenau___nordeschliefe_by_theederv-d463hlv.jpg

If anyone is interested in some large panoramic prints of these images, PM me and I can do them for forum members at cost price. I have sold about 11 on eBay so far so people seem to like them

Edit: The Adenau one seems to be more popular, i'm not sure but it might be the wonderfully intelligent and clearly british graffiti smack in the middle of the picture on the fence that reads "Darren Carter Loves Cock" If Darren Carter does indeed love cock (which I suspect he may do) then thanks for giving me a unique selling point.

Here's another pic, this time of Mrs Derv's car

Anyway, enough photo-spamming from me

Wow Ben, some fantastic shots there bud!
Your 3d modelling is great, i did a bit at Uni back in the day using Studio Max so i appreciate how hard it is!

The Panarama's and superb and to have stitched them and done HDR makes them even more impressive. Thankfulli now have a Canon 10 - 22 lens and its so wide i no longer need to stich.

Just shows you that its the user not the camera, nothing wrong with a 6mp Nikon as long as you have nice optics, and know what your doing - like you.

Those Ring shots are amazing pal!!!! They stitched too??

WOW!!! I am impressed!

coolpics.gif

I love the photos at the 'Ring, makes we want to go back!

Your car looks great too, I can't wait to see some more pics!

no wonder you got flamed out, you forgot the 1st rule of Photography Club!! ;/

Why now mate, i did it too yesterday for mine!

Your pics are well worth a look again and again

You keeping the Clio now then?

:bounce1:

I saw you bumped, so I thought I might join the fun lol! Your pics are seriously good buddy, going to have to shoot some more this weekend me thinks!

So your keeping it, the Clio?

Me and the Missus had a chat, she has told me that we can afford to keep the Clio if we delay our wedding till 2013.

Mrs Derv is one cool girl

I am also due a payrise, so I might go down that avenue, that should solve some problems
