final drive from a TL4 021 gearbox,

Surely there is more than one gearbox with the same final drive now my info is gear ratio but must use same internals as they are all TL4 boxes.

All info from 2009 Gearbox manual TL4 just google pdf document "6019A-TL4info.pdf"

Sorry to hijack, you always seem to have an answer for most questions. Can I pick your brains and see if you could identify what car this expansion tank comes from?Screenshot_20201024-182311_Instagram.jpg

To me that looks like a power steering reservoir bottle with an expansion bottle cap on it I would use a Clio 4 RS bottle as you are mounting nearly in the same place and pipe size maybe better

Thanks, I have a Dacia Sandero item there to fit, but it's a bit of a tight squeeze in that location and very, very close to the stabilizer mount, I'm afraid it'll rub through. It actually looks the same as the Clio 4 rs one.

Thanks bru. I’ll get my mechanic to have a look today but a few do look to have the same FD as the TL04 21.

So a question reference the 021 gearbox and final drive.
appreciate the final drive is lower so will reduce the gearing, has anyone fitted the 021 box as a whole? And if not then why not?
Thanks

As far as I'm aware, the Scenic box configuration - position of starter etc, doesn't match the Clio because it's Megane based.
Also the ratios themselves won't be best matched to the Clio power characteristics.

So on mine, I'm going to be running a 003 box with exception of swapping 2nd out from a 1.947:1 to the 2.1:1 from the 021 box.
I'd thought about swapping 1st as well but decided against it. That will give me a slightly closer set of ratios 1-3 which will be perfect for the hills when allied to the 4.76 CWP.

Sounds great!

I'm just keeping the 003 ratios and putting the 021 FD in along with a VAL Racing LSD. Mine isn't used for the hills, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Excellent. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts.
I’m going to be fitting a Blackline LSD and lightweight flywheel alongside these changes.
I’d thought about changing tyres but I want to see how this changes things first so I’ll be sticking with 888R’s for most of the summer at least.
