It's a good point Peter. And I think that's something that's missing from the sport. I know it's always easy to look back fondly but when I first started watching F1 in the early 80's and through most of the 90's you could SEE that these were special people.
That's why I really enjoyed the lack of grip in Baku. It showed their incredible level of car control much better than what we've seen for a long time.
fully agree, M. everybody with half an ounce of grey cells knows, aero kills the sport. bring back mechanical grip over aerodynamic grip. we just need someone at the FIA to push it through. maybe ross brawn can ... (doubt it, though)
did you see the assen TT? bloody marvellous race. why is almost every motoGP race so exciting? because we can see how difficult these things are to handle and because it's so unpredictable. even 'the aliens' can c*** up.
