Wow, Force India really are having a pink car...when I saw the pictures I thought it was a wind up!

oh dear ... what's all this? 'ron dennis was mclaren', 'danny ric and his big bottom lip', 'hamilton = god', 'alonso = god', 'button = god', 'rosberg = antichrist', 'rosberg : least deserving champion since his dad' ...

best not to look too often in here.

that said, i do think vettel is a knob and that force india just looks horrible.

nah, not a fan really. i don't like how he handled certain situations (spain 2016, austria 2016, monaco 2015), but i do think he doesn't get credit enough for being a super fast driver. i also don't think he stole the championship. hamilton threw it away (lack of focus) and then blamed his team for giving him an unreliable car. no class.

and button had his days (that canadian win a couple of years ago was mega), but god? liked his personality though and was sad to see him retire, although that meant vandoorne got his break.

alonso and hamilton, best of the bunch i think. with a slight nod to alonso. would love to see him back in a competitive car. but both are prima donna's, don't like that. but maybe that is needed to reach the absolute top.

never rated ricciardo till he got his arse in a red bull. was and still am impressed by his speed and racecraft. his overtaking skills are mega. will be interesting to see how he reacts when verstappen beats him regularly. i hope it doesn't happen too often, not fond of the kid. got everything on a golden plate (much unlike vandoorne, who got to F1 old school style). do appreciate his skills, not so much his wheel to wheel behaviour.

i'm not really rooting for one particular driver, but i'd like to see hulkenberg, vandoorne and (dare i say it ...) grosjean doing well. what i mostly would like to see is some really brilliant, hard and fair racing. even if it meant a lil' lewis victory/title ...

@peter good post mate. Yeah JB was never an all time great but I think he was better than his career showed, he just needed the right car underneath him and wasn't the type to drive around problems like say Alonso is. And his defending was poor.

Really looking forward to seeing Stoffel racing, I'm a huge fan and he seems a really nice, well grounded guy. Just wish he was in a better car!

Grosjean, can't stand the guy. His comments about Button were a disgrace!

Ricciardo, super talented, and until Max came along, the best attacking driver in F1. I just really don't like him at all. Uncouth and moany.

As for Nico, I'm certainly not one of those who thinks he's a poor driver, the opposite in fact. However, Mercedes fully managed that championship last year and there is nothing anyone can say to convince me otherwise. There was just far too much evidence that things were being pushed in Nico's direction. Lewis' car failures right left and centre, some crazy decisions by the team, and the moment I really started to think there was something going on was Lewis' pit stop in Austria. You can see very clearly from the footage they're taking their time. It's unarguable. You can see the guys on the left have the wheel undone but don't take it off and the guys on the right don't even move for a bit. It's inexcusable. When you add in some of Nico's frankly disgraceful tactics... Yeah, least deserving champion since his father.

What did Grosjean say about Button Mes? I must have missed that...

I agree that Verstappen has had a lot handed to him, in terms of his path into F1, but I do think he's seriously talented and fully deserves the praise he's getting. I do think he's a bit aggressive at times with his racing, but I also believe F1 needs someone like him - who isn't afraid to get stuck in and pull off ballsy moves.

Putting someone in danger is never acceptable, but I think too many drivers overreacted last year to moves by the likes of Verstappen and Ricciardo - especially Vettel, he got way too whiny at times. This whole thing of complaining about another driver over team radio so Charlie can hear is a bit pathetic and childish.

Precious Pettel the finger boy should shut up and concentrate on why he's been crap since going to Ferrari. Another one who needs everything to go his own way or he throws his rattle out the pram. Only one I dislike more is that snake Nicole Tossberg.

Max is the real deal though. He's only where he is because he is that good.

I can't remember what exactly Gross Jean said about JB but it was during the time when McLaren were really arsing him around with his contract. Unprompted he comes out with something about him being too old and he's had his day and should move aside and let others have a go.

Excuse me Jeany, have you won a race yet? That's a world champion you're talking about there. Pipe the fook down little man.

Totally uncalled for! Love JB so Jeany can cock off.

missed that grosjean comment on button too. disrespectful, i agree. bit surprised he did that.

vettel is completely frustrated he can't do a 'schumacher' at ferrari and acting like a total prick now. thing is, schumacher had brawn, todt and byrne. don't think that kind of uber talent is present at ferrari right now. quite liked vettel at the beginning, until he went over the top with his 'yeah baby' and 'finger waving'. what really put me off was 'multi 21'. webber should have driven him of the road, but i guess he's too nice a bloke for doing something like that.

yeah, max is the real deal. but, he knows it and it shows. then again, must be impossible to keep a clear head when everyone is telling you you're a driving god. that drive in brazil last year, couldn't believe my eyes. he really made the others look like plonkers. (except for lewis. flawless drive too.) and he's only, what? ... 19 now?

ricciardo, had to look up what 'uncouth' means ... he's an aussie, mes. what did you expect?

i have to say, my respect for these guys (and all who came before them, on four or two wheels) as drivers, has grown even more since i track the clio. they truly are special people. just very few of them are likeable, i guess.

@peter top post again mate.

Yep, it was really poor by Grosjean and totally uncalled for. Surprised me too in all honesty, thought he was better than that. It was an actual quote I read from a credible source sadly.

Seb, thought he was a breath of fresh air to begin with, young and hungry and supremely talented. Turned out to be a scumbag. Multi 21 was the final straw and his comments after cemented my feelings.

Totally get what you say about Max. But to be at that level I guess you need self belief beyond what is normal folks can comprehend. And yeah, Brazil was a whole other level. Best drive in a long long time.

Had to laugh at the Aussie bit!

And yeah, fully agree, these are not normal men. Aside from talent, the level of mental application it takes both in and out of the car would break most of us to pieces.

Good talking mate

Totally agree with this, and I think it's and essential trait for someone to be at the top of their game (especially in F1). I think Nico lacked this, and perhaps that's why he's got so much stick for being an undeserving champion??

I really don't see what you guys do about Ricciardo  I really like the guy! Probably one of the more down to earth drivers on the grid IMO.

Neat, tucked, no extra weight, plenty of downforce, and pink - what's not to like.

So want to believe that you're being smutty there Chris  but actually not sure

So are Ferrari sandbagging? I sincerely hope not. I'd even take another crap season of Merc domination if it means I get to watch little Sebby Pettel with his bottom lip out!

Amazed the McLaren managed to get through practice. And with what looks like reasonable pace seeing as they're still fighting this vibration issue.

It's always hard to tell in FP whether teams are holding back or not! For the sake of competition, I kind of hope they are, because another Merc domination would be too dull! As much as I'd like Lewis to get another championship, I think it would be a boring season if he doesn't have proper competition...

As long as it's Red Bull taking it to the Mercs (or Kimi for that matter) I'll be happy.

Sebby had a face like a arse slapped with a wet fish. Hope it stays that way!
