I've been through so many exhausts trying to get the right sound out of my 200 with no joy yet.
Surely with the exits being inside the diffuser, all that sound will be bouncing around in there creating resonance/ boominess?
A friend has just extended the exhaust exit on his 172 out past the rear bumper, and it sounds miles better - seems to remove a lot of that low-end boom.
Has anyone experimented with extending the exhaust exits to be closer/ past the rear of the bumper?
I picture a few issues in my head - namely rattle against the conical air scoops on the diffuser, and heat melting the diffuser/ tips
Any other tips on getting a nicer (more liveable/ daily-able) sound out of an aftermarket exhaust greatly appreciated
