Exhaust tips

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting some exhaust tips for my 197 and having reviewed the exhaust tips thread I have some in mind that I think I will purchase, only worry I have is that although they aren't performance enhancing and are £20 that these are probably classed as mods for insurance (ridiculous)! Therefore have people who have these after market tips been declaring them on insurance as I know insurance companies these days will use anything against you to try and get out of/reduce a claim.

Unless a modification alters the performance or characteristics of the car I really wouldn't worry about it to be honest.

It's probably best to let the insurer make that decision.. declare all changes, even if something minor like this, let your insurer do the rest.

If these exhaust tips do alter the price of the policy then it's time to shop around.
