Exhaust carnage - which direction should i go ?

if the engines in good nick and been well serviced it should pass with the one cat...

I have the toyosport manifold and the only difference is it's a little louder than standard, but not much. Can't comment on the knocking issues as I had powerflex mounts fitted at the same time. All I can say is that the flat spot is no different from when it was standard, it feels a little more punchy, presumably as the precat is now gone, and that the bushes made a huge difference and are well worth it.

Supremely helpful.

THANKS.

I'll be watching your progress with great interest!
I did drive along my road today with the windows down and the reverb from the exhaust on a concrete wall section did highlight a raspy note from the engine area, now I have manifold paranoia but am trying to tell myself that at 40k miles it should be ok, but then again, it is French!
The guy who fitted my Powerflex stuff the other weekend said it sounded ok, he has a 200 also.

Oh, forgot to add mine passed mot with only one cat, garage didn't even mention it.

I have the Toyo mani and a Scorpion Non-res system with decat. Sound is incredible but for everyday driving with no back seats it's very droning!

I was charged £240 by the garage to remove and refit including the 2 upper and lower mounts. (Already had the torque arm fitted)

Thanks for info.

I messaged Toyo on eBay as listing says mani fits upto 09.

They wouldn't commit to an answer.....

*****So will this fit my 2010 200 ??? Looks like others have fitted to a 200.

At work, on site but ready to purchase if anyone can confirm.

CHEERS.

iirc they're on sale for £130ish at the mo! Will fit any aged 197/200!

I have toyo manifold fitted on 09 200. With power flex engine mounts. Had no issue with clearance, all be it could be down to ensuring the top mount arm fully pulled out on bulkhead bolt (the arm is slotted here) as such levering the engine forward at the top and such rotating the bottom of the engine up giving you more clearance at the subframe.

Maybe be accurate or not, but RS tuning (leeds) claim that the TOYO manifold is more of a hindrance than the standard manifold. However it seemed my bucked the trend, that could be down to the Akro.

Oh and it maybe beneficial to wrap the manifold before you put it on, aids heat management and also adds a few tenths to the bhp figure.

And confirmed by this post on Clio group on Facebook where he linked to the manifold above (For 197 or 200):

"Just fitted one of the £139 Ebay manifolds! Really impressed with the quality, nice big ports, welding was pretty good for the price! Also fitted a powerflex bottom engine mount bush and torque arm bush and there is no knocking at all! Went straight on 100x easier than the old one came off! Removed the old one and fitted the new one in just over 2 hours. There is a slight flat spot around 4K where the pre cat has come out but you only notice it when you pull from 3k in like 4th. For what we use it for it will either be going around under 4K or flat out on a track so not bothered!"

Be interesting to see how you get on mate, im thinking about getting a scorpion resonated system myself. Ive just bought a scorpion gp for my zx6r that build quality is lovely.
