engine with 60k miles?

Hello,

I need some advice.

A friend of mine wants to buy a clio 197. We found One within his budget and apart from some scratches it looked mint.

The main doubt is the mileage. 90k km or 60k miles.
Should we have any doubts? Will this engine last for another few 10k? We heard it running and it dan Nice and wijst at idle. No ticking whatsoever.

Any advice is appreciated.

As long as its been serviced regular and it's Cambelt has been done, no reason why it wouldn't be fine.

If you're that worried, get an rac check.

60k is nothing mate. They are more than capable of double or triple that if looked after. There are 1*2's on 200k+

Mines on 62k and is perfectly fine.

When I returned home I listend to my engine, on the 200 with a mileage of 11000 km.

I could hear the engine at idle was clearly louder, then the one we heard with 60000 miles. It had a bit more rumble/ticking in it.

When driving it runs really smooth. It does a lot of short trip, bit it's never trashed when could, as my girlfriend drives it mostly.

Should I be concerned?
