Engine Mount setup

Hi guys. I’ve just discovered my powerflex yellow insert on the dogbone mount has torn. I have the alloy Renault dogbone mount with powerflex insert which is 12months old. The rest of my mounts are Renault with powerflex yellow inserts. Is anybody running a vibra/Ktec/pms dogbone mount with the rest of the stock mounts with powerflex inserts? I’ve ordered a pms dogbone mount but I’m wondering if I should just fit all pms mounts or will it be fine with the pms dogbone and stock mounts mix?

You’ll have seen on my progress thread that I’m running all the PMS mounts. Not sure what your usage profile is but I think on a road car my setup would be awful. It’s rock solid, buzzy and noisy. Mine is 100% track though so it’s fine to live with.

Yup I’ve seen your setup. I’m not to fussed about vibrations or noise. I’m just wondering if the solid dogbone with the powerflex stock mounts would work and if running a full pms mount setup would cause any damage driving on the roads.

Evol engineering do a poly mount thats very good and much cheaper than pms/ktec

I’ve ordered a pms mount because you can replace the bushes when they wear.
