Engine management light

I was driving home from work last night, took me near on 4 hours to drive what usually takes me twenty minutes.. and about half way home my engine management light starts flashing for about a minute then turned off again? I thought it might be getting frustrated at going so slow or something? lol anyone know why it might hav done that?
 
Well the yellow light that looks like an engine? i thought it was the engine management light but im probably wrong..
