drivers side lower arm

I just had my car serviced and they said that the drivers side arm was wobbly. What exactly does this do? its all under warranty so its free and being fitted tomorrow but just wondering what its all about?

are you sure its the drivers lower suspension arm ?

plenty of "steering arms" have been replaced due to the inner ball joint wearing hmy:

sorry 48000 mile and yup I asked when I went back and got it they said it was the lower arm
