Diagnosing steering rack/column knock?

Renault confirmed that it was the lower UJ part and that has now been replaced. Still making the noise though (same as the video), I think it must be the rack but the garage think it's a design on the components and it's likely they all do it?
As I live 3mins from Ktec I think I will go there tomorrow and pick their brains. Also gives me a chance to see what they're like as an outfit as it would make sense for me to use them for servicing.

Go straight back. Ive had the exact same problems and fixes as you. Replaced lower universal joint. Still made the noise. Went back yesterday = new steering rack ordered
I had this. When my subframe was taken off to fit my new manifold and refitted, it cured my problem.
same noise, same cue and came from the same location, didn't happen every time though.
