Does anyone know if your can replace the outer CV joint without having to replace the whole driveshaft. Car started making a clunking noise yesterday when reversing and turning full lock. I got under the car and my near side CV boot is off, the noise is coming from there although it does sound like both sides, I'm hoping that's just the sound radiating across? The near side joint defiantly looks and sounds like it's gone tho. I don't wanna replace the whole shaft unless I have to. If the outer joint can be replaced anyone know how long this take roughly?
