Custom exhaust

Does anyone have an experience with taking parts of exhaust systems from other cars say a DC5 type R for example and using it with custom pipe work on another model?

I was thinking with the vast amount of great sounding systems and proven power gain systems available for JDM hondas that they could be used on the RS 2.0 lump with similar success ?

the gains etc are mostly down to the engine. people who design exhausts for these cars are to get as much as possible for them. the standard systems on JDM are highly restrictive etc etc etc putting one on one of these wil be expensive and pointless...

plus ud have a single exhaust sticking out as well would look odd....

if you were really wanting to do this the S2000 kit would run 2 exits and wouldnt look as stupid.

I gathered that they were specific to the K20 engine, it was a though out of boredom more than anything.

A single exit wouldn't bother me, the R3 is single exit
