Cup Dampers Slightly Weeping Oil??

Anyone noticed this?

On mine 3 out of the 4 are slightly weeping oil. Not alot - the dampers are slightly dirty and you can see the oils made alittle of the dirt wet just below the seals but not all of it.

How do the cup differ in looks to the normal ones?

yeah the renault dampers are kayaba. cup should have an orange sticker on the chocker. rectangle on front circle on rear. easy to see from under car without jacking up


my 182 cup had rear shocks replaced under warranty as one of them was pissing out. it was at the point where i couldnt drive the car eventually.

I think the 200's may have different top mounts, could be wrong but recommend you look into it.

dont worry you get this on loads of of dampers - a slight "oil mist" on the outer tubes near to the damper piston rod - nothing to worry about

just give them a wipe over

if the seals go you will be able to see the oil dripping out !
