Drop me a pm on there mate. Everything is deactivated on here now.

Hi! I've just bought a 2011 Clio RS Gordini with 29.000 miles which looks very well maintained, gearbox works very well without crunches, hesitations or noises, but when third gear is engaged if I put my hand on the gearlever and press slighty forward I can feel a strange vibration, it's a constant vibration and increases with speed, I cannot feel it or hear it until I touch on the lever a press a bit forward, it can also be felt when engaging third gear since I press the gearshift forward to do it.

Anyone knows what it might be? I'm getting worried but I cannot find anyone with a similar problem to this one, I searched a lot.

Thanks in advance!

Lads just curious, how crunchy is the crunch? When do you know, I’m assuming mine isn’t as I’m not sure. But I will be rebuilding in the winter, but don’t know what signs to listen, feel for, when it’s time

You'll know.
They do get progressively worse, to the point where they refuse to change gear quickly. All depends on use and how you drive really.

I have had a recent experience of a crunchy gearbox. When it is properly knackered you will know and be able to feel it.

A sign that things right are not right is when you cannot change gear without having to "wait" for the gearbox to go up or down a gear - normally it will only affect a few gears like 3rd and 4th.

As Nathan said above if you drive slowly and do not push the gearbox you can drive with a dodgy gearbox, or prolong having to sort it out.
