Crank sensor part number check.

My car is cutting out once it gets hot. Did a bit of research and seems a crank sensor could be at fault.
Bought a new genuine sensor off Renault parts directs.
Once I pull the old one off they seem like different parts. Old one is stamped 8200746509-B new one says 8200513668-C both are stamped with Renault. Is this just an updated part or did my car have the incorrect one originally fitted. Or did rpd sell me the wrong part?

There are apparently two types of sensor, one is magnetic and the other is induction. This thread might help:
