Complete boot/tailgate swap

Hey guys, I was wondering if its possible to swap the entire boot of a MK3 197 without encountering any issues? One of the potential problems which popped into my mind was the central locking, would this just need to be swapped from the old tailgate to the new one?

If anyone has any experience or information in regards to swapping a tailgate over it would be greatly appreciated as always
