Clutch Burning?

I was reversing up a really steep hill the other day & had to rev it hard, the smell was so strong that its got me worried, im presuming that i just shortened the life of my clutch slightly & i shouldn't worry about it too much?

Na I wouldn't, I burnt my clutch sooooooooooooo many times and it's still going strong

I had the same smell when I for stuck in the snow last year, eventually got out but like I thought I'd buggered the clutch, 15,000 miles later its still ok

nothing to worry about, I did burn the clutch quite a lot once during a rally weekend travelling with 4 adults inside and a dog in the boot and parking the car on a number of steep hills, spectating so during two days there was quite a few of these, two years after that the clutch is still spot on, so yeah not bad renault
