Clock mod - mobile phone mount

I'd been looking for a decent mobile phone mount for the Clio. Use a vent mount but it's not too steady, so I decided to modify the clock housing to add one to the car.

Clock housing (spare) bought off eBay for £10. Bought a silicone phone mount for £7 on Amazon.

Steps
1. Remove the clock mount, gently lift and it should just unclip - two cables to unclip and it's free
2. Cut the rubber feet from the two silicone mounts
3. Used masking tape to mark lines to help with positioning when gluing the mounts to the clock
4. Used loctite super glue (flexible) to stick the two mounts
5. When the glue has set, used Sugro (black) to mould the contact between the mount and the clock mount to give a more factory finiish
6. Refit after 24 hours

I'll post a photo when it's dry and back in the car tomorrow.

Need to get another camera to take a picture with my phone in the mount, but here's how it looks installed. Ideal positioning for Sat Nav or Torque dials.
