Clio Cup/BTCC 17/04 Donington

I was at Donington this weekend for the BTCC. I took a few snaps so I figured I'd post them up on here. I'm still learning my way around my DSLR so forgive that my pics aren't the best, but I'll only learn by doing...

I was a GREAT day and I'd recommend it to anything, I missed most of the action with my camera as I was so busy watching the racing/drinking

Thanks guys, I was pretty happy for my first attempt at any sort of motorsport shots. Also had a GREAT day the weather was amazing and the racing was great.
Think I'll be going to either Oulton or Croft later in the year aswell

Well done on the sneaky RS Cup Car exhaust revealing ones.

Oh and I'd say if it's either/or then got for Oulton. Beautiful track and always fantastic racing.

Thanks for the comments guys. Willis when I spotted them lifting It I knew I had to get some pics. Just a shame I didn't have a longer lens/was closer I was a million miles away and had a 300mm lens with me

Whats annoying is after that race I moved and was sat right on that banking where the people are stood and chuffing nowt happened!

I was there too! Great day, weather was perfect!

The BTCC cars sound insane, tv really doesnt do them justice!!!

Had a good chat with one of the clio cup drivers....tom grice. Was doing well in the race but got involved in a bit of a ruck and dropped places. Not bad for a novice though!

I need my 200 to sound and sit like theirs

Your right Marshall the tv doesn't do them justice. The BTCC vectras sounded crazy! I want my 197 to spit flames on the overrun like that too!!!

I couldn't believe the weather! Forecast was 16degrees. It was about 21/22!! I'm still burnt lol!

Cannit, the clio cup cars are such bad influence. I need that stance! And the noise!

Was talking to tom grice and he said the cars engines are identical to the road going version bar a v6 air box, exhaust system and ecu tweeks. Surely getting ours sounding and going the same couldnt be too hard?

They sound immense! Wonder what exhaust system it is they use? Probably custom made I would presume.

im always goin to the btcc think ive been to snetterton every year since about 1992!! looking at goin to rockingham this year too

those pics are great shows how much of a battering they take

The wheels were such a wreck. Its mad to think thats from them literally goin wheel to wheel! The on pic i did want to get was one like your profile pic andy with the exhaudt flames but I never got close enough or had enough patience though lol

From my understanding they are still height adjustable but pretty sure they are fixed dampers. Love how low they take them!!

its shot gunning its the only way to do it ive got a few drift cars flaming out from doing it
