Clio Battery??

Looking to disconnect my battery over the weekend briefly.

Took a look yesterday and was wondering if someone could explain why there are 2 positive cables and 2 negative?

On every car i have looked at or owned just 2 cables a red and black.

is there anything i need to be aware of when d/c the battery as i did a quick google search and on the laguna you have to leave your side slights on, doors open for some reason then have to reset the electric windows etc??

i dont want to mess any of the electrics up to be honest.

but im assuming whilst d/c black off first then red, then when reconnecting red first then black or same as taking off? thats what the meganne forums say as i couldnt find much about the battery on here?

Thanks

As far as I am aware you don't need to do that with the Clio, I have disconnected the battery a number of times without any problems.

And yes that's the right order to disconnect the battery, just bare in mind I think its the ESP light will be lit when you reconnect the battery.

You can either turn the wheel lock to lock or drive as normal and it will got out.

all you have to do is disconnect the - (black) terminal on the battery....its a 10mm bolt/nut!

ps make sure you have radio code
