Clio 3 RS F1 Team R27 Meglio - it will be a trackcar

Thought already about it, but then i have to change the complete Setup.
New Turbo or Exhaust housing
New Adapter to manifold or complete new manifold
no solution for now.

i will weld the studs

just the adapters for turbo base & the exhaust manifold. I believe they are available separately to be used on existing turbo. You will also need a professional for Laser welding. You can retain the Exhaust housing and just get a new set of bolts with bolt lock tube.

So, here we finally continue.

Finally everything I need has arrived.
1. The turbocharger was milled at the screw and sealing surfaces at the Berlin Turbo Center
2. Studs were welded into the turbo/manifold adapter plate
3. Turbocharger was assembled with Nissan locking plate, Nordlock washers and self-locking copper nuts.
4. The original stud bolts that held the turbocharger to the manifold are now replaced by titanium bolts with lockwire.

I hope nothing comes loose now :-D

Here are a few photos:

It does not look like nord-lock washers to me? Or have you just used half of the washer? Or is it just my eyes?

It is it is.
On some photos you dont see the "half".
On the last picture you see the "half"a little bit, and on the fifth too.
its this:

Long time no see.

Had a lot of trouble with this sh1t adapter system to fit the Garrett Turbo. Each trackday loose and loose again, nothing helped.
Now - going for tubular manifold with v-band. Changed the exhaust housing for it.
And fitted clio cup roof scoop today.
Drexler limited slip diff incoming too.

Car is almost ready
Drexler is fitted, Engine is fitted and running, changed the surge fuel tank to raceworks with internal pump, and fitted my OZ Allegerita wheels and changed engine/gearbox mounts to vibra-technics.
and beginning of february an appointment for new mapping in france.

Can't wait to see this beast in action. Amazing build.
You did mention at you last post that you changed the surge tank to raceworks and internal pump, Yet the surge tank is still there? I'm asking this cause I'm having radium surge tank in my Meglio and was considering going back to in-tank uprate fuel pump sometime in near future.

Yeah, maybe its poorly expressed. I am from Germany, sorry .
I mean that i changed to a surge tank to one from raceworks with an internal pump (u cant see it). My old one had a 044 Style and looked out of the surge tank and was very loud because of this.
I already have an Upgrade in my in-tank from first Setup and this fills up the surge tank - depends on what Setup you running. Clio 3 rs or m2rs have no returnline in Stock, so i cant run it anymore because i need to have fitting to billet rail and return from fuel Regulator (1:1 ratio with more boost).

The season got off to a somewhat unlucky start.
Car was completed like i said, then i moved to france to do new mapping in february - all fine, 400hp 490nm.
2 days after tuning my EGT display showed no valid data, but car still running fine.
OK - thought sensor is damaged, because its already 4 years old.
Sensor removed, tip is gone – SHIT.
Turbocharger removed, OH NO - turbo failure.
Tip broke off and went through the exhaust housing.
Here what it looked like :-D

Okay, there's no other way. Time to order and install a new core assembly and EGT sensor.
Then i got an information that it was my own fault.
Because of the tubular manifold, i could put the sensor 30-40mm in - yeah, with turbocharged cars not good, MAXIMUM 20mm due to vibrations of boost.

OK - all fixed, car runs fine, was on nurburgring and drove 14 rounds - all good, all works, turbo is tight on manifold .

Now some new upgrades:

Cup Axle conversion kit from pure
IMG_20260605_123645.jpg

and going to fit ECUMaster ADU7 instead of stock cluster.
waiting for ADU7 to arrive and building an selfbuild loom from stock cluster loom to ADU7.
