Clio 200 gearbox

Are the gearboxes in the 200 the same as the 197?
If they aren't are they just as bad?

The 200 I've purchased has had a new gearbox under warranty from Renault so perhaps they are just as bad!

They are not too bad, I believe they are a nice accompaniment with crackers and butter......

I blame the drivers!

My 197 is on the original 'box, now done 61k with no issues at all!

Just kidding, I know it's not always drivers that kill them!

there are 4 boxes, 197 original, 197 revised 6th gear, 200 original and 200 revised (the one you want but not sure when it was introduced).

If it has had a box replaced IT DOES NOT GET A NEW GEAR BOX it gets a reconditioned one and the original one sent back to be reconditioned.

my 197 had 30K ish on it without issue and the 200 has 31k on it and ok upto now.
